Paper Wait

Alison Rossiter pours, pools, and dips developing liquid directly onto expired photopaper. The process reveals the papers' histories – some of which date from the 1930s – by exposing oxidation, light leaks, fingerprints, and mold. The simultaneous longevity and decay represented by the work speaks to our currrent age in which images have a decidedly short shelf-life.
